摘要:美国高校应用型翻译人才培养体系经过几十年的实践与研究已经比较成熟;其主要特点体现在翻译需求的持续性、方向设置的灵活性、课程设置的多元性和翻译研究的系统性等方面。美国应用型翻译人才培养体系对于我国翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)研究生教育具有以下启示:一是国家层面应通过立法进一步提高对翻译工作及MTI等翻译人才培养重要性的认识;二是教育主管部门和行业协会应加强对MTI的规划、指导、认证与评估;三是高校等培养单位应结合自身定位建构特色鲜明的翻译人才培养模式;提高应用型翻译人才培养的质量。
The United States has developed a mature and productive educational system in applied translation,which is characterized by the great demand for translators and interpreters,flexibility in the planning of program orientations,diversity in the curriculum design,and systematic researches in related fields.For the MTI program in China,the educational system is of such implications as the urgency of legislation on translation and interpretation at the government level,the fulfillment of the roles of professional and scholarly institutions at the ministerial level,and the construction of MTI program orientations with distinctive characteristics at the university level.
