This article aims at an in-depth analysis of the dialogism in Crazy Jane Poems from three perspectives: discrowning of the Churchs dictatorship in its implementation of Catholic moral codes and a grotesque body vocalizing ethics of individual freedom;the polyphonic features of the Poems. While discrowning the Church creates a relatively free space for dialogue,Crazy Janes grotesque body enables her to speak for the sanctity of desire. The ballad form facilitates the dialogical theme of the sequence and carries with it Yeatss wish for a dialogical Ireland.
