摘要:课堂教学是外语教学的基础环节;教师的每一节课都应当追求教有实效、学有实效。本文结合首届"外教社杯"全国大学英语教学大赛的实际情况;分析课堂教学的评价标准;从课堂教学的结构、内容、效果等方面讨论什么是有效教学、什么是无效教学。对大学英语教学来说;有效教学要求教师具有良好的英语能力;具备一定的课堂设计能力;能够激发学生的学习兴趣;提供合适的学习资源;正确处理输入与输出的关系;培养学生学习策略和用英语交流的能力。希望本文的讨论能够引起人们关注课堂教学;关注教师综合素质提高;使课堂教学回归本质。
Classroom teaching is the basis of language education.The teacher’s job is to make every session of classroom teaching effective and to ensure that learning does take place in the classroom.Based on the actual performances of the contestants in the First SFLEP Cup National College English Teaching Contest,this paper analyzes the factors which comprize effective teaching from the aspects of the structure,contents and outcomes of classroom teaching,and discusses what is ineffective teaching.Apart from a good command of English,the paper stresses the importance of the teacher’s methodologies and classroom management techniques,the teacher’s ability to motivate students in classroom activities,to keep a balance between language input and language output,and to help students develop appropriate learning strategies.It is hoped that the paper may draw teachers’ attention to the effectiveness of classroom teaching.
